Interviewing writer Gay Talese / Entrevistando al escritor Gay Talese

What a great time we had chatting with Mr. Talese, and taking his portrait at his home in New York. He’s a very sweet and talented man, who doesn’t use the Internet at all, and still types with an electronic typewriter. The story was published in El Mundo, Spain, in the printed edition, and is available for publication elsewhere. I also have really good audio from the interview, in stereo, recorded with my first exuberant purchase in a while, a fancy four-channel recorder. My favorite part of the interview is what he said about needing a curious mind in order to be a good reporter. I think it applies to being a photographer as well.

Qué bien lo pasamos entrevistando y haciéndo fotos al escritor Gay Talese en su casa de Nueva York. Es una persona encantadora e inteligente, que no usa el Internet para nada, y todavía escribe con máquina de escribir electrónica. La historia se publicó en la edición impresa de El Mundo in Spain, y está disponible para publicación en otros países. Tengo también muy buen audio de la entrevista, en estéreo, grabado con mi primera compra exuberante en mucho tiemp, una grabadora maravillosa a cuatro canales. Mi parte favorita de la entrevista es lo que dijo acerca de necesitar una mente curiosa para ser buen periodista. Creo que lo mismo se puede decir de un buen fotógrafo.
